As you probably know already, It's the year of Grimes. The pop-prodigy, Canadian Claire Boucher is every hipsters favourite artist right now. Pretty much everyone in the music industry wants to know more and more about her, she is the muse of the indie world. With her look along with her incredibly dancey beats, the 24 year old has me intrigued with a while now. Her sci-fi punk fashion sense is something I admire greatly and I love how she looks like an otherworldly creature of some sort. Grimes' videos are quirky and creative, she pretty much has the whole package. She's weird but not a Lady Gaga weird, it's humorous and innocent. Unlike Gaga her music is her number one and she doesn't let her inadvertent fashion affect her music.


She's the new cool and the queen of new wave pop. Enya is one of her most influential artists and you can hear aspects of this in her music. Boucher has truly made a new genre of music that no one has really thought of before and she's having a huge impact on pop aesthetics, it has me hooked. Even she knows it, when asked why should people care about Grimes, she replied "Cause it's the future of music", this is so very true! Basically I WANT TO BE HER. Yes, I'm a little obsessed. So I've decided to make a little list of reasons to love her, if you don't already. This is for all the people undecided about Grimes, her style or her music...
