Gloom is in it's bloom at the moment, it seems. If you like a bit of haunting rock, then you will love 2:54. They're London's answer to Warpaint...minus two, and a bit darker. The band name, and indeed their inspiration, comes from Melvins track 'A History Of Bad Men'. Sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow were relatively late onto the music scene but they have quickly become noticed, with fans including Wildbeasts and the xx, just to name a few. 2:54 are doing very well for themselves, being named ones to watch on numerous websites. Their music is brilliantly polished with guitar solos that aren't over the top and dark melodies you just can't beat. Check out their best track to date 'Scarlet'.
