Meet small town girl, self-employed designer Alice 'Tiggi' Halliday. Always dreamt of designing from a young age, she describes her work as elegant, feminine and timeless. Named designer of the year at this years CFW, this wee lady has a grace about her and when you see her you know she knows what she's doing. West Cork (where she grew up), holy places and nature inspires her inventions. She most often uses recycled materials as a base to her designs, but that's not to say that her pieces aren't extravagant. Decorative items like doilies, chandeliers, feather embellishments, beads and crystals are employed. It's evident that the environment is of significant importance to her and we praise her for this.
So. She has worked at Julien MacDonald and Emilio de la Morena in London and Florence Welch took her £2 cape on tour, no biggy right?
