I'm not sure if it's a phase or an permanent obsession (for my mothers sake, i do hope it's just a phase) but lately I can't get enough of coloured hair. The fashion phenomenon right now with woman of all ages is certainly turning heads. It's gone from dip-dyeing to a range of tie dyes- painted, powdered, sprayed and streaked look. It's clear coloured hair will be bigger than ever this season. It's all about being bold and daring! If only everyone could look as good as Charlotte Free, the must-have model of the season who started the whole trend. She has become a big hit in the last six months after the great David Mushegain sent his photos of her to IMG agency. "Charlotte is so unique that her height, the pink hair - things that normally might be considered impediments in our business - actually work in her favour,'' says the agency. It's not even her hair but her tomboyish attitude and yet elegant look. Versatility wins it for her.
Below, my attempt to experiment with the coloured hair trend that's showing no signs of going anywhere. Candy floss pastels are my fav, but so hard to do as they're not on the shelves yet. My next task is to master the pastel, maybe a turquoise.
